I work for Colgate Palmolive and will answer basis my experience.

1) No, I don’t think we are as good as we will ever be. There is lot of scope of improvement in regard to process and functionalities which can help to bring in more efficiency. Also, there is ample opportunity to work in the area of higher customer satisfaction with changing market dynamics

2) No, once we encounter the problem, we do root cause analysis. It helps to fix the problem as well as understand the real causes of an issue and take steps to permanently prevent the problem from occurring

3) Yes, customers have increasing demand nowadays. The market has become highly volatile and competition has become intense. There is a need to cater all segments of society and come up with items which are more in tune to the demand

4) No, problem solving is a small part of the work and most of the time, the management is planning for the future needs. It helps the organization to be dynamic and in tune to the demand.
