As we continue to shift to more cloud computing and cloud storage, what is the effect to our expectation of privacy?
In cloud computing, there is the location of a server remotely for logical procession and thereby running of applications. Local computer is just a display whereas the storage and processing is managed by the cloud server. Hence, all computing services from the storage of the applications on the server to the processing power of the same, is done by the server. All it requires is a reliable internet connection and always on-internet to access the same from the server and to store the data in the remote server. However, there are certain impacts of cloud computing and storage upon privacy as well.
Data breaches and hacking of security passwords to get an unauthorized access to the cloud storage is a concern. Moreover, owing to the fault of the customers, various human errors are observed in clouding. In addition, there is a possibility of losing the data from cloud storage without any backup. So we expect in such conditions that our privacy is not compromised when the accessibility is through common server and location.

What is the future of cloud storage? What measures can cloud storage service providers take to become a more reliable and secure environment for storage?
A hospital decided to use cloud computing for processing and storage to save costs. After several months, it was discovered that the cloud provider’s storage facilities were compromised and patient information was stolen. The hospital maintained that the cloud provider should be punished and fined for the breach, while the provider responded that it was still the hospital’s responsibility under HIPAA to secure patient information and the hospital was ultimately responsible. Who do you think should be responsible? The cloud...
If you are proposing cloud storage what does the hospital gain and lose with cloud storage?

Topic: Cloud-Based Organizations Overview: Your company is interested in learning more about cloud computing and the varying services offered. Your organization wants to start small by transitioning from Exchange to a cloud-based corporate email and calendar application with a service provider that can eventually support all other internal productivity programs. The head of the IT department has handed you a list of cloud-based organizations because he doesn’t have time to put together a report for the CEO that explains what...
Research cloud computing in relation to health care. What are the major security and privacy challenges? Choose three and describe them in detail
"The Cloud Effect" Please respond to the following: Many firms are relying on cloud computing, also known as “the cloud,” to perform key business functions. By moving transactional processing to the cloud, firms are exposing themselves to additional attacks as well as to tighter scrutiny from regulators and stakeholders. From the e-Activity, assume that you are the CFO of Amazon.com. Create an argument indicating how your firm will be able to balance the needs of security with the desire of...
