Do present eating habits and food production processes alter modern sexual development? How so? Can anything be done to undo these modern changes? Are regulatory agencies doing enough to assist? Why or why not?

With the increase in food demand and modern technology methods of food production are changing. A lot of chemicals like pesticides ,insecticides and other chemicals are used in agricultural. Also use of genetically modified crops are on rise .Also huge growing market for processed and ready to cook foods which contain harmful chemicals in form of preservatives , flavor enhancers ,food colorants and stimulants and energy drinks have given rise to variety of health related issues .

One such issue is regarding sexual development in children . it has been found that the children have started attaining puberty early due to increases food additives .This is due to early production of certain hormones in the body which are responsible of signs of puberty in both male and female children .

People should be encouraged to reduce their consumption of processed foods in order to undo these changes .

Regulatory authorities are doing their part by controlling the amounts of food additives that goes in the production of foods.by setting some standards for use of these chemicals . Also the contents of the food are written on the packets . It is for the customers who should educate themselves about the food additives and high sugar levels and choose their foods wisely .
