There are mainly five personality traits. They are- openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
Openness- The more openness the more it is easy for a person to handle jobs which are creative or artistic. But they can never be happy in doing a job with routine work as they are adventures and have much open and wide interest. Whereas a person with low openness can easily fit in a routines job.
Example- Advertising, researching or other artistics job can be good career options for persons with high openness.
Consentiousness- It is easy for a person with high consentiousness to get any job as they are very organised, disciplined, punctual and serious towards work. But it also may cause problems as taking everything too seriously makes small problems seem very big.
Example- High consentiousness people are good in being managers, directors or entrepreneurs.
Extraversion- Proper communication skill is very necessary. If a person is social and extrovert then he may get better chance for jobs due to his communication abilities. But all the jobs are not of same type so, even in most of the cases it is a benefit of being an introvert.
Example- Extroverts can be good teachers or lawyers whereas introverts are good in being writer s or scientists.
Agreeableness- Persons with high agreeableness can easily gel up with people as they are cooperative, helpful and teamworkers. These characteristics can help anyone to be in any job even with little adjustments. People with less agreeableness may face some problems as they can't adjust quickly.
Example-As Managers and counselors, they can do good.
Neuroticism- Low neuroticism is good for people as it keeps one's emotions balanced and self-satisfied without being irritated by small things. Being in a job can sometimes be very annoying which can be handled with our attitude. Low neuroticism helps us to be under control and take everything positively. High neuroticism people can also involve in jobs.
Example- People with high neuroticism can be librarians, graphic designers or massage therapists.
Apart from personality traits there are also other factors which has huge impact on each and every individual. They are skills, cognitive abilities, education, money etc.
