All these are part of a typical food chain in every Ecosystem. An interdependence can be observed between these and environment.
Primary producers are plant in land ecosystem while algae,diatoms and corals in aquatic ecosystems. They consist the most important part of ecosystem. As they are producers, they remain directly in contact with environment and produce wide range of products on which other organism grow and reproduce.
Primary consumers are Herbivores and possess significant functions in Ecosystems. Primary consumers start the circulation of the food chain as they eat plants and later provide food for other carnivores so that the primary consumers work as a link between primary produces and sec. And tertiary consumers.
Secondary consumers are Carnivores. They eat primary consumers and control the population of such animals. If there aren't any carnivores then herbivores will reproduce enormously and it will cause a havoc because grassland ecosystems will be destructed by them.
Tertiary consumers are at the top of the food chain. Tertiary consumers aka apex predators controls the whole ecosystem by maintaining population of primary and secondary consumers. Human is the top example of tertiary consumer.
