Answer #1

Solution :

Given :

m = 6 x 1024 kg

v = 30 km/s = 30 x 103 m/s

r = 149.6 giga-meters = 149.6 x 109 m

Since : Angular momentum (L) = m v r

Thus : L = (6 x 1024 kg)(30 x 103 m/s)(149.6 x 109 m) = 2.693 x 1040 kg m2 /s
