What is the purpose of a zoo and doesn’t the reason for and manner of this giraffe’s killing serve that purpose? What moral justification would you give for the existence and use of modern zoos? Ans-1 Specifically what is wrong with the killing and subsequent disposition of Marius the giraffe at the Copenhagen zoo is that the giraffe was shot in head and is being slaughtered infront of the eyes od the people. This type of ruthless behavior shows inhumane nature and a type of abuse. Slaughtering and killing animals like this very wrong ethically and socially as well. The purpose of zoo is basically to entertain people and provide them with diversity of viewing wildlife with fun. But killing the giraffe in such a manner doesn't fill this purpose neither they reflect the appropriate behavior of the zoo towards the animals. The moral justification for the existence and use of modern zoos would be likely-

There should integrity in treating animals no matter how harmful they are. There should be proper way to sought things out rather to pubicall display such kind of nuisance. Zoos should be checked and inspected for the reason that there is no kind of abuse happening with animals.

Modern zoos should be the example of somewhere preserving the animals as well. Not only for the capture, entertainment or money matters.All such kinds of killings should be banned on such backgrounds.
