Given a circuit of a battery, emf = V, connected to a parallel plate capacitor, C.The capacitor dimensions are area = A and plate separation = d. Suppose the separation of the plates is changed to d/2. Explain and give formulas for the final values of:

A.The voltage of the battery.
B.The charge in the capacitor

C.The voltage on the capacitor

D.The magnitude of the capacitance

E.The electric field inside the capacitor

I know the answers for all of these. I am wondering what the professor could change d/2 to and how that would change the values from A to E. what are the different options for the plates that would change the way we answer A through E. Like what if d was made larger instead of cut in half (d/2). I am trying to prepare for the exam and trying to explore all of the options.
