I am choosing paleoanthropology

Paleoanthropology is the study of that specifically study the human evolution starting from the early man to the present day man.  

The process of evolution of man is known as hominization. The family of primate is called as hominids that include fossil ancestor of human along with present day human. The primate are compared on the basis of biological evidences like remains of skeleton, remains of bone, cultural evidences. These evidences are compared with different primates to study the evolution of present day human. In future, it can too provides useful insight into the various aspect of evolution of man that help us to have useful knowledge about human evolution .

One well known professional in paleoanthropolgy is Michel Brunet who is a paleoanthropologist from French. He is associated with the discovery of the  skull and jaw of late Miocene hominids. These hominids  is also called as "tiomene".
