I think the there are great differences between how Human Resources would recruit, hire, train, and keep employees working for a Theory X manager and for a Theory Y manager because under Theory X , employees are less creative, stay away from work, Lazy and do not show any interest in their job or work so, In this situation, Theory X manager will be more applicable to recruit, hire, train, and keep employees because Theory X manager has the ability and skills to supervise and control over such employees.
theory X manager tend to play the role of micro manager who closely overlook and control the work of such employees so that these employees would perform better under pressure of this manager.
This type of manager would not give authority to these type of employees in hiring and training of other employees.
The hiring of such employees is very less and organization and its manager do not want such employees in the organization.
In case of theory Y, where employees are skilled, talented, ready to take any challenge or task, creative and self motivated then Y managers focus on giving them freedom and support them in decision making.
In this manager Y can take help of staff in training, hiring or recruitment of potential candidate.
In short, Theory X manager micromanage the work of their staff while theory Y manager give freedom and take their hands off from their work.
for example- A supervisor is lazy and asked to train a new worker so theory X manager will look over supervisor's work while Theory Y manager would focus on giving full freedom to train workers if supervisor is hard working and talented.
