There are three main basic process which makes the commodities flow from producer to consumer.
The procurement process- It is the process in which manufacturing company procure the raw materials from its suppliers.for example- A potato chips company called Lays procure its fresh potatoes from farmers who grows or harvest potatoes on the farmland and make sure that these potatoes of high quality and less genetically modified to make the taste of chips like homemade and fresh.
The manufacturing process- After the procurement process, the Company start to make the chips out of potatoes by supply them to assembly like where these potatoes are peeled, washed,sliced,fried and spiced. then these potato chips are lead to packaging line and quality team make sure that only best of quality chips are packed and defective and low quality packets are rejected.
Distribution or delivery process- This is the process where Chip manufacturing company distributes its chips packets to customers by use of whole sellers who purchases chips packets in bulk and sell them to retailers like departmental stores, shops and at last customers purchases from them.
these are the basic steps which involves many sub steps like marketing, promotion,logistics etc.but these steps comprehend all the steps for a company.
