a) Since only one single parent is involved in the process and there comes no genetic variation hence the genome size in the products of asexual reproduction remains same as that of the parent. Also, because of this very reason the products of asexual reproduction are termed as Clones.

b) Each cell divides in two through Mitosis hence forming the 'Daughter cells'.The cell type is haploid (n). They are both genetically and phenotypically alike.
