Answer-

The corporate societal marketing concept is a progressive marketing that holds that an organization should make good marketing decisions by taking into consideration buyer' wants, the organization's prerequisites and society's long run interests. Corporate societal marketing can be implemented in various points of view including concern for the environment, employee schemes and involvement in particular social causes or cause related marketing. It is based on the idea that market offerings should not be just benefit driven, but rather they should also strengthen social and moral values for the advantage of people and society. It is strongly related with the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility and of Sustainable Development. The concept focuses on social responsibility on the consumer’s and society’s well-being This may involves donations of money, contribution of time, a sense of duty to provide environmentally friendly products and services, and aspiration to enhance the lives of people. It is not adequate for an organization to just concentrate on exchange relationship with customers in order to maintain long term accomplishment. Marketing strategy to a certain extent should convey value to customers in a way that keeps up and enhances both the consumer's and the society's prosperity. A growing number of consumers consider certain factors when deciding whether to support business. For example, does organization involve in any social welfare campaign or donate to a homeless shelter? A company's "social responsibility" measure can make a difference to its bottom line. Many companies actively engaged in corporate social responsibility campaigns to both inspire employees and attract current and potential consumers. There are various companies that are implementing the corporate societal marketing concept. For instance: McDONALDS have programs for local school sports support, scholarships for talents Etc. Throughout the late 1980s, McDonald's instituted and publicized a number of environmentally positive steps in its domestic operations. It reduced consumption by using lighter weight paper in straws, paper bags and other items and recycled paper and cardboard packaging. In 1987, it switched from polystyrene (used for the clamshells) blown with CFCs, the family of chemicals which destroy the ozone layer, to plastic foam that used hydrocarbon blowing agents. The customer likes to use the service and product of those companies who are connecting to make better society. Corporate societal marketing concept is the true soul of company’s vision. Obviously, social activities and dedication that corporations make influences personal consumer behavior. I would say that corporate societal marketing does affect my personal consumer behavior. This influences the image that we have on them and whether we see them to be great corporate citizens or not. So, these factors either consciously or subconsciously influence our buying decisions. If specific company uses corporate societal marketing concept, it subconsciously influence my attitude towards that company. If the company sells the product that I am hoping to purchase, I will be more disposed to purchase from it. For instance, I prefer to buy fast-food from McDonalds because I admire hygiene approach of McDonald’s fast food. Personally, I would not purchase products of company that didn’t care as much about the environment on the grounds that I would believe that they are just worried with their revenue apart from of future generations. In conclusion, in today’s more and more competitive and evolving marketplace, CSR can become a competitive advantage. Consumers’ views on company’s corporate social responsibility have been appeared to influence their attitudes toward a company, especially when focusing to a purchase. Societal marketing has been appeared to have a positive effect on consumer attitudes and behavior in different nations. Surely numerous companies has now point corporate societal marketing as a noteworthy achievement factor.
