Using Java IDE
Write a recursive method which takes an integer number and returns the sum of the numbers from 1 to that number. The method must solve the problem recursively.Then write an application which calls the method with a few different numbers and displays the return value of the method.
//SumN.java
import java.util.Scanner;
public class SumN {
public static int sumofn(int num) {
if(num == 0){
return 0;
}
else{
return num + sumofn(num-1);
}
}
public static void main(String args[]) {
Scanner scan = new Scanner(System.in);
System.out.print("Enter a positive integer: ");
int num = scan.nextInt();
System.out.println("Sum1 till "+num +" is "+sumofn(num));
}
}

(Java) - Write a recursive program that takes array of number and an integer, and returns true if the integer is in the array or false if the integer is not in the array
Using Java: 1. Recursive Multiplication Write a recursive function that accepts two arguments into the parameters x and y. The function should return the value of x times y. Remember, multiplication can be performed as repeated addition as follows: 5×6=6+6+6+6+6 2. Recursive findings Write a recursive boolean method named reFinding. The method should search an array for a specified value, and return true if the value is found in the array, or false if the value is not found in...
3. Write a Java method (called sumOfSquares) that reads in a sequence of integer numbers using a Scanner object. As each integer is read, the method displays that integer. The method also accumulates the sum of the squares of the integers and displays the sum when all integers are read. The method reads integers until a negative integer is read. The negative integer should not be display or added to the sum of squares. The method will not return a...
Write a recursive function named arithmeticSum that takes a positive integer parameter n and returns the sum of the integer numbers from 1 to n Please write in C++
Program#3(17 points): write a java program (SunDigits) as follows The main method prompts the user to enter an integer number. The method then calls Method Sum (defined blew) to add the digits and return their total. The main method then prints the digits total with proper label as shown below Method Sum )is of type integer and takes an integer value. The method recursively adds up the digits and returns their total. Document your code and use proper prompts for...
Sum of Numbers Problem: Write a method that accepts an integer argument and returns the sum of all the integers from 1 up to the number passed as an argument. For example, if 50 is passed as an argument, the method will return the sum of 1, 2, 3, 4, . . . 50. Use recursion to calculate the sum. Demonstrate the method in a program. The program should be called SumOfNumbers.java.
(Java Programmin): Sum() and max() in ArrayList a. Write a method that returns the maximum value in an ArrayList of integers. The method returns null if the list is null or the list size is 0. public static Integer max(ArrayList<Integer> list) b. Write a method that returns the sum of all numbers in an ArrayList: public static Integer sum(ArrayList<Integer> list) c. Write a test program that prompts the user to enter a sequence of numbers ending with 0, and invokes...
In C++ write an application which takes positive or negative integers and returns the sum of each place in the number, such that 246 results in 12 and -88 results in -16. The program is called and runs with no prompt for input. The program reads exactly one signed integer from standard input. The program displays the sum of each digit of the number as a signed integer. This should be done in two files called main.cc and makefile.The result...
java code level: beginner write a method sumList() public static Integer sumList(ArrayList<Integer> list) This method calculates the sum of all Integer values in a given ArrayList. For example, if ArrayList<Integer> list contains {1, 2, 3}, a call to sumList(list) should return 1+2+3, which is 6 as an Integer. Return null if the list is empty or null. Think about the base case. When should the method terminate/end? Under what condition should your method stop making recursive calls and return your...
PROBLEM: Write a recursive method named SumEvens that takes an integer X and returns the sum of even digits in X. Please comment on every line of code. EXISTING CODE: int numTwos(int n) { int right = n % 10; int remain = n / 10; if(n==0) { return 0 ; } else if(right ==2) { //rightmost digit is 2 return 1 + numTwos(remain); else { return 0 + numTwos(remain); } } int SumDigits(int X) { if (X == 0)...
