Differentiate between performance specifications, design spe- cifications, and manufacturing specifications. Write sample specific- ations for a product or service of your choosing.
Performance specifications includes the operational instructions and requirements needed to install a particular equipment or device. It includes the details about what is required from the product.
Design specifications are descriptions of product dimensions, sizes, material requirements, thickness, weight and other parameters. In case of process design, the design specifications include the details of various process parameters.
Manufacturing specifications consists of all details required to manufacture a particular product. It consists of designs and diagrams, flowcharts, etc which facilitate production.
To demonstrate this we can take an example of a microwave.
The performance specifications will include the installation steps, servicing steps, ideal performance parameters such as electricity supply , temperature, time usage.
The design specifications will be for every individual component and parts to be assembled to form the microwave.
The manufacturing specifications will be including assembly instructions, work flow, component flow, documentation flow and all the instructions and procedures related to production activity.

Differentiate between response time and throughput. Explain how the physical design of a database influences performance tuning. Explain three ways queries can be altered to increase database performance. Present specific examples to illustrate how implementing each query alteration could optimize the database.
What are the design differences between manufacturing and service products?
'Statistical Process Control (SPC), by its design, will not work in all manufacturing and service processes. For example, on a product where the inspection destroys the product, a technique called acceptance sampling is a better way to determine what percentage of items conforms to specifications. Question 12 options: True False

Product Design and development Figure 3 shows a plastic propeller used in a boat engine. During the setting of the final specifications, the development tean developed technical models for the propeller to predict the values of the performance metrics for a decisions. a) particular set of design Identify two (2) performance metrics that can be used to evaluate the customer needs. For each performance metric, propose value of the respective performance metric of the propeller a technical model to predict...

The additive manufacturing process contained eight steps; one of them is to have the design in a Standard Triangle Language format (use your own words) to explain all about it? The additive manufacturing can be Classified by the technology used such as FDM and SLA, write the difference between those two in term of the process, the material used, cost, efficiency then give two industrial examples for each
Instructions: Each student will write a fictitious memo to an elected leader or governmental official on a specific policy issue topic or institutional design idea of his/her choosing. The idea with this minimum 1000 word assignment will be to identify a specific policy problem in society OR institutional feature of American government that needs fixing and to consider different ways to fix the problem. Typically a student’s memo will be stronger and have more punch if the topic is very...
In today’s lab, you will design an experiment to differentiate between the stimuli that trigger the physiological responses comprising the MDR. You will examine how cold, apnea, and cold + apnea stimuli influence the MDR and blood oxygen levels, as compared to baseline, and describe the magnitude of the evoked response. In order to study the effect of one stimulus (cold or apnea), you must control for (or eliminate) the other stimuli during testing. Remember, in this lab we will...
