The user stories are used and employed in agile project management because the requirement might change in the future and the developer should know what is it that he or he has to exactly work on and hence clearly mentioning each functionality in the story and setting the expectations right that what is the final delivery becomes easy when the project manager writes user stories.

Benefits of user stories are:

  • Clarity in what is to be done.
  • Testing team also knows which functionality to test and how
  • Time estimates can be given so clarity for deadlines also.
  • No scope is missed.
  • A lot of transparency gets into the system
