Microbiology Question
If a bacterium exhibits purple growth on MacConkey agar, what color would you expect it to demonstrate when grown on Hektoen agar? On Eosin-Methylene Blue agar?
(please also explain why)
I know that a positive result is pink in MacConkey, and that my teacher is trying to get some critical thinking done with this question, but I'm not even sure what to think. Please help!
