In 300 words or more, how would you sell yourself to a prospective employer? What are three adjectives you could say about yourself? Justify these adjectives with examples. Finally, what are some things you would want to omit from an interview? Why are these important to omit?
Selling you as a potential candidate to a job is difficult
nowadays as every job today requires different skillset and effort
level. The three most important things which need to be told
are,
Challenge seeker: Taking difficult jobs as a challenge is one of my
greatest skills and I always try to take up a job where it seems
impossible to achieve. Getting easy jobs and doing it right is fine
but getting a difficult job and doing wrong and learning from that
is much better. In my last job, I got a target of doing the project
in 7 days and it is a very crucial one and I tried a lot of things.
I could not achieve the target but I completed it three days later
but I learned a lot from the project.
Adaptable: I can easily adapt to any situation and work in that environment. In my graduate career, I started adapting myself to a new environment and as I came from a small city it was difficult for me to know many new things in New York but I tried and learned the things quickly
Sincere: I always tried to do my work in a sincere manner. Whenever t=my teachers gave me an assignment and work I tried to submit on time. In the last job even I got the best employee award and never took any absence from the work.
The things which need to be omitted during any job interview may be any extra skillset which is not actually required for that particular job but you have that as it will not add any extra impression. Last company policy and all should not be discussed in the interview process.
These are important to omit as this may create a bad impression about your behavior towards the company. This is actually not needed to be discussed which don't add an extra point to the interview process
