Solution: Landslide refers to the movement of rock, debris or earth due to slope section of land and also due to movement of underground layers of earth.

The direct effect of landslide are:

1) Many people loss their life or their closed ones due to sudden occurance of landslide whcih is normally undetectable.

2)It also leads to the underground movement of tectonic plates and results in earthquake and sometimes volcanic eruption.

3) Infrastructure of the place, Soil quality ,animal livelihood destroyed due to landslide.

The indirect effect of landslide can be seen in farmers life as the soil mechanics is disturbed and nutrients content is almost reduced , it prevent access to many places.

The effect of landslide in construction :

a) The soil analysis is important so that one can prevent landslide.

b) The foundation of the structure need to be strong and as according to the analysis of land at that place.

c) Proper plan should be made so that the structure can withstand for longer period of time.

d)Survey of the site along with the effect of other lives should be taken into consideration.

Hope you understand and like this solution.

Thanks.
