Discuss whether you believe existentialists when they say that all of life is a choice, and when one refuses to make a choice, that in itself is choice. Do you think people should be held accountable for the consequences of making the choice not to choose? Do you agree that people always have a choice? Are there cases where it is legitimate to say, “I had no choice”?
Hi !
Well, lets view in other way. Where you born or what year you born is not your choice but after that everything you do is consequence of your choice and decesion. It is true that when one refuse to make a choice itself is a choice. People however are not aware most of the time that everything that happens to them is a result of choice lets say for instance , the food you eat is your choice and the disease you suffer from that diet is not your choice but is also your choice. It is actually a paradox. Yes as i have said, i agree that people always have a choice. There is not a single legitimate instance hwere a person has to say ' I had no choice'. People always have a choice, its just that they are not aware.

Think of a good that you believe is highly inelastic and poll at least ten people about how their consumption would change if the price changed [change: choose any good - do you think demand is elastic or inelastic? Then do poll]. You should ask each person a) how much they currently buy of the good at current prices, b) how much price would have to change before they would reduce their consumption (if they say they would always buy...
mm do you disagree or agree with this statement give reasons either way One holds that it is wrong to end a human life because everyone has a moral responsibility to live; the other holds that each person should have autonomy over their own body. Some philosophers believe that suicide is morally improper because life should be valued and suicide implies disobeying our duties to live life. Contrary to this belief, other philosophers believe that we have the right to...

1. I hear people talking about how a person's personality can change throughout their life depending on the people they associate themselves with and can be changed if they change their lifestyle or the people they surround themselves with. But according to Freud's development of personality theory, person's personality is established at Stage 5, seeming almost as if it is genetic. I have no actual opinion of whether it is genetics or social, but I do believe it is a...

Regarding this course, I would say this quote means to stand firm on what you believe to be morally correct. Our reasoning and actions that we take should line up close when dealing with similar situations. The philosophers we studied throughout this course seemed to be firm on what they believed to be truths of life. However, I’m sure during their life span their beliefs were influenced by life events, good and bad. Cognitive dissonance is the process of how...
(2) When we discuss body composition results with an individual, why do you think that we as health professionals should carefully choose our words and try to soften what otherwise may be a harsh reality of poor results? Keep in mind, that even though we will be particular with what we say, that doesn't mean we don't report results or just simply glaze over them to make the individual feel better. (3) Body composition is a very broad term as...
1.In the practice of nursing, there will be many times when you don't want to take care of a patient for many different reasons. What about the man brought into the ED from the local halfway house who is there because he's a sexual predator just out of prison and was convicted after raping a child? Or a convicted murderer? Or a homeless person who stinks and is combative towards the nursing staff? A man who beats his wife? The...
