Answer #1

1. positive confirmation bias - When seeking information to support their hypotheses or expectations, people tend to look for positive evidence that confirms that their statement is true rather than information that would prove the view is false. For eg, It is often assumed that left handers are creative. You firmly believe in this hypothesis. You begin to notice all left handers and automatically link them to their creative pursuits. Your mind tends to ignore left handers who are not creative.

2. negative selection bias - Selection bias is the bias introduced by the selection of individuals, groups or data for analysis in such a way that proper randomization is not achieved. In negative selection bias, subjects whose involvement may lead to undesirable results are not recruited into the study.

3. positive reporting bias - Correct answer. Reporting bias is defined as "selective revealing or suppression of information" by subjects. For eg, about past medical history, smoking, sexual experiences, narcotic abuse

4. Positive selection bias - Selection bias is the bias introduced by the selection of individuals, groups or data for analysis in such a way that proper randomization is not achieved. In positive selection bias, subjects whose involvement may lead to desirable or positive result are recruited into the study.
