Leadership is an integral aspect of organizations today and the success of an organization depends on how effective and dilegently their leader is in creating a competitive advantage. The primary objective of servant leadership is to serve and that would mean serving the organization, the employees and the clients as well. The leaders generally will share power with the employees and serve to make their experience better which will help them be more productive and efficient as well.
Like each and every model, the servant leadership model also possess strengths and weakness as well and the strengths of the model are firstly, employees feel engaged and valued. Secondly, trust aspect is more as the leader shares power with the team members. Thirdly, employees are the leaders and they are given the power to take decisions as well. The weakness of the model is that the leader may not be considered to be powerful in most of the cases and this may lead to various issues and lose of authority as well.
In order to implement servant leadership, the leader needs to understand the benefits of prioritizing the team and it's peiole and the leader should also have an open mind to accept and work on ideas.
