quality in healthcare:
Q1) If you were assuming the chief executive position in a hospital and the chief quality position was vacant, what type of person would you seek to fill the position? Background? Experience?
For chief executive officer I would have preferred someone from medical background but a strong management graduate would be more required as this is the position which has major role to play as chief executive like Handling the hospital infrastructure, coordination with operation management team, budget allocation, overall functioning of the hospital and also the part of board of directors. So for this role, a person with management experience in the healthcare industry should be preferred.
Now for Quality officer, I would prefer someone from the medical team who know the in and outs of the medical requirement and standard operation procedure, this could be great if the person is also six sigma green belt certified.
