In 250 or more words, without using any names, describe one of the best and one of the worst presentations you have experienced. What strategies made one drastically different from the other? What tips would you take away to create your own presentation?

I have experienced many presentations during my education as well as my career. One of the best presentations I have experience was during my education. I consider it as best one because it was clear and well aligned with the topic. We could understand and remember the important points and the presenter was able to keep the audience engaged by asking questions and giving examples. The slides contained only required information were well developed with a professional touch.

I have experienced the worst presentation during my career induction program. The presenter was trying to explain the policies and procedures followed by the company. The slides presented were developed years ago and contained a lot of data. It looked really messy and very difficult to remember. The presenter did not maintain eye contact with the audience and also did not try to engage the audience. Though we had many doubts about the points discussed, we were never given a chance to ask questions.

The tips I would take away to create my own presentation are as below.

1.Be clear about the goals of the presentation.

2.Develop the presentation in simple language that audience can understand easily.

3.Use images and words that are well aligned with the topic.

4.Maintain proper eye contact with the audience and speak in audible voice.

5. Provide examples to make the presentation interesting and clear.

6. Make sure that the audience is able to follow what is being presented by asking questions and by giving a chance to clear any doubts.
