Lifespan development is a life long process that begins from conception to till death. Lifespan development interrelates with physical, cognitive, and psychological development. Physical development includes the growth, motor skills, sensory mechanism of growth and development. Cognitive deals with the memory, attention, learning, language, thinking, and reasoning ability of the individual. Emotional, personal, and social relationship involved in Psychosocial development. The nine stages of life and development are

• Prenatal development
• Infancy and toddler
• Early childhood
• Middle childhood
• Adolescence
• Early adulthood
• Middle adulthood
• Late adulthood
• Death and dying.

I am in the stage of early adulthood. It is the most difficult stage because the peak of the physical and emotional development takes place at this stage. This stage is at more risk for violence and substance abuse. This stage is vital where a lot of energy, respect, love, and hard work is required. The other member in my family is in the stage of late adulthood who is in the age of mid-seventies. He has to live with the risk of chronic diseases and to cope up with the rest of life with the utmost care from the family members. Another is in the toddler age group who has a dramatic change in the growth and development. She needs more love and affection and likes to be more independent. She has to be trained with toileting, sleep schedules, and self-feeding. Among these stages, Late adulthood is a very complex stage because most of them are living independently and need guidance and support for the daily activities of life. Physical and cognitive impairment are challenging at this stage. They are emotionally weak requires more love and affection to increase the expectancy of life.
