What is your opinion on the cost of giving birth and why? Is it too expensive? Is it fair? Should we lower it? Consider all the factors such as higher expenses for c section, premature birth and other complications that may occur before during or after birth. How is your opinion supported with different insurances? (Medicare, Medicaid, HMO). How can it be influenced by state and federal insurances currently or in the future? In my opinion, it is too expensive because of any possible disorder in baby or premature birth are really costly.

it is too expensive for pre mature birth because we have to provide suitable environment for baby and also have to supply food material and oxygen and other things required by faetus. Total cost of these things will be too much becauae baby need too much care.

It is fair for c section because it requires surgery for taking baby out of mother uterus.

If there will be any genetic disorder like down syndrome then it cost parent too much time and money because genetic disorder cannot be corrected but parents try to cure baby at any cost thus wasting there money and time.

But if mother goes through amniocentesis then she will already know about genetic disorder of her baby but in many countries like India amniocentesis is banned because many parents want to know baby gender. If baby is a girl then they will go through MTP(medical termination of pregnancy) and thus disturbing sex ratio.

Since medicaid and health maintenance organization (HMO) are a group of medical insurance providers that limit coverage to medical care provided through doctors and other providers who are under contract to the HMO. Thus they help in reducing the cost of giving birth.

Federal insurance is very helpful in these cases as there will not be too much cost that we have to pay. They help us at the time of delivery and also on occasion when health care cost us too money. As they will provide us a fixed amount of money on those occasions when it is too much urgent for us to have money.
