How do conflict minerals and in particular conflict coltan get their names? what groups benefited from the trade in conflict minerals? What groups were hurt by it? All of this was in this question.
I would like to know how they got their name and who benefited from this and who didn't. Thanks so much to whoever assist me in this question.
Conflict minerals, specifically, conflict coltan got their names as they were sourced from the mines which were responsible for financing horrific civil conflict in the Demographic Republic of Congo also in the nearby regions and countries. Therefore they get their name as they supported the conflict groups.
The people who benefited from the trade in conflict minerals were the locals and regional groups and traders of the Demographic Republic of Congo. While the groups hurt by it were the locals who were used as slaves for the production of conflict minerals and the one who were killed in it.

-Describe how trimeric G proteins get activated and inactivated - Name the two common second messengers In what signaling pathways do these messengers get activated (Yes, you do need to know the names of the key players in the pathway!)? What can the second messenger then do? What two criteria are needed for activation of a receptor tyrosine kinase? -Describe how monomeric Ras is activated and what does Ras do upon activation. (Again, you must know the signaling pathway)

I know how to solve normal 1/2 life equations but this one is
confusing me! Please help me get both parts.
I know the standard equations of
t(1/2) = ln(2) / k & At= A0 e ^ (-kt)
but those didn't work when i tried. i got stuck! thanks! :)

How much work is necessary to bring the proton from rest infinetly far away to rest at a distance of 3m from the nucleus? I've know how to get the answer for the first part of the question which asks, " How much (mass) energy is released when a 13C nucleus combines with a proton?" which is 7.5505 MeV, but I'm not sure how to answer the energy question. I think you'd use the equation Wnc= Kf-Ki+ Uf+Ui but I...
