The "Elements of the Constitutional System" handout mentions 5 different kinds of power that are SEPARATED between the branches (lawmaking power, power of the purse, military power, appointment power, impeachment power). Choose ONE of these kinds of power and tell how different branches have some piece of this power.

Here, I choose law making power. And discuss how the different branches role in power of making laws.

There are three branches in constitution. Such as legislative, executive, judicial . Three branches act in law making. The power for law making is absolutely in legislative branch. They make laws . In legislative branch includes Congress, (Senate and house of representatives. ) and special agency to support Congress. House of representatives includes 435 members in 50 states in proportion. The first step in legislative process is introduce a bill to Congress . The members of Congress introduce legislation. Firstly bill introduce in sub committee. May be amended or rejected. Members in it agree , then forward the bill.

Executive branch have the power for only executes the law. And they carry out and enforces the law. This branch includes president, vise president, cabinet. President, who leads the country and he is the head of state, leader of federal government and commander in their of United states. President can be elected not more than two times. Vice president, who support the president. President is not present, vice president becomes president. Cabinet , the members serve the advisors to the president. It includes vice president, head of executive departments etc.

Judicial branch serve the purpose of interpret the meaning of laws. And they applies the law in each individual case. It includes supreme court and federal courts. And they decides if laws violation done in constitution.
