I have 6 fruits with nutritional information and i want them to be able to be a float e.g.

fibre: 2.4

Vitamin c: 3.6

ETC

how do i write the code for this? any help would be appreciated

Here, i have taken user input as string, and checked if it is a valid float. All integers are considered as valid floats with decimal part as 0. If you do not want that behavior, then you should check the user string to contain the decimal also. you can do like below:
if '.' in inp
