Controllers,Sensors and actuators are the three important components of car assembly plant. Sensors plays an important role as they constantly monitor vital engine parameters like oil pressure, coolant temperature and emission and report back to the controller when something is wrong.

The controllers are the heart of vehicles electronic system. Advance usage of controllers in vehicle can help in controlling the pollution, increase the facility to provide systems monitoring features of customer demand. Controller senses the input from the sensors and controlls the actuators.

Actuators are an essential part of electronic control in cars. It is their job to convert the electrical signal from control unit into an action.

For eg- If we consider a airbag system . The sensors detect the accident and then microcontroller operates the airbag system by operating alternators by actuators.
