When are algorithms like DES or 3DES appropriate?
Solution:
DES was introduced first which uses single encryption key and 56-bit in size, this algorithm is vulnerable to bruteforce attack, so it is not used often, 3-DES is more secure and is advanced version of DES which uses 168 bit key, this one is also vulnerable to bruteforce attack but to crack this will take more time for the hacker to crack it as compared to DES..
