Organizational Development Practitioners are people who are entrusted with the job to carry out the planned change process in the organization. These are the people with the ultimate responsibility to development and create organizational wide effectiveness through challenging and changing its current practices. OD Practitioner normally refers to people who do Organizational Development.

The job of an OD practitioner is a very responsible, challenging and also interesting one. It would be very challenging to make strategies and plans to develop and organization and handle various changes that are implemented in the organization. It would be a good job and anyone would want to do it. It would be good to work as an OD practitioner in industries like automobile manufacturing where there is more scope for development and also multinational companies would be a good option. This is because we will have scope to develop and come up with various strategies and also the environment would be diverse to implement changes. If not this profession , the principles we learn in this area would help us in organizing and doing any work with determination to contribute for the development of the organization we work .
