ANSWER: Geology of lake San Cristobal are as follows....

1. This lake is formed by natural landslide happen across the Gunnison river. Which created the natural dam.

2. Unconsolidated sediments are carry out from lake fork and slumgullion Creek which is continuously deposited in San Cristobal lake.

3. Basically lake is mostly surrounding by sediments which may be coming through the transportation of eroded material of preexisting rock in the coarse of river. Also some unconsolidated material is coming from natural Creek and landslide.
