I have to develop a month-long Marketing campaign on digital marketing mode in order reestablish Rajasthan Royals (a cricket team which was banned for 2 years from the IPL after its owners were convicted of betting). What can be done to get it beyond the entire match-fixing scenario? (Budget is unlimited)
1)The very first thing I will change the team name because already the name spread like a fire all over due to match fixing which brings a very bad negative image in public. So to overcome the negative image I will just change the name so that I can avoid some damage atleast.
2) I will change the team management which is at high level so that I can tell the Media and public to gain their trust and support for my team.
3) I will bring in some senior cricketer with good name as coach which helps me to get attention of media and sponsors as already senior cricketer had a very good name among public.
4) I will buy some three to four sensational players to get more Media coverage and public support so that I can get a good reputation for my team.
5) Now I will get a celebrity as my team ambassador to get public and fans interest
6) I will do some charity works on behalf of my team so that it will give me good name in public
I will use my PR team to get all the fans association of certain A level players and my brand ambassador to do online trends about my team and bring support from all Media platform. I will ask my players and celebraties who are in form in the industry to tweet on their social media platforms as a support which will be trending as their fans will also retweet. So I will use all sorts of resources to get me the attention in a positive.
I will make sure that nothing will be done through illegal measure as it will bring negative impact again on my team.
After all these I will do ads with my players with different social concepts using cricket platform.
If I am sure it will help me get my team reputation back.
