Isolationism aims to develop insulation and protection from nations and national autonomy. Internationalism aims to develop global relations and expansion of territories to penetrate markets.

From the 20th century till date, the US Policy right from Richard Nixon to George Bush the theory of Internationalism has dominated so far as the US policy of growing trade relations with Asian economies and increasing presence in East Europe, Latin America for key export market has made globalization possible and US a truly multinational economy with presence and bilateral relations with major economies .
