Hi Techies,

I am in process of building a large scale blogging website which will be growing a day by day with number of blogs and users.

I have following questions:

1. Should I use ready-made template (from google) or should I create a site from scratch?

2. Which technology or langauge should I use considering the scope of scale in future?  
3. Where should I host it? should I host on cloud or normal hosting providers?

Ready made template from google is like Simple template. you need to start from ready made template than starting from scratch. because ready made template is decorative hence we can update it by as per our requirement and we can get best starting platform. Hence taking such template save our initial times and efforts. even if adding new page to template is very easy page because we are just pasting common code to it.

Now days many more languages are used for building web sites. now its depends on our requirements here i am talking about programming languages like c++, java, python, PHP.

Use of scripting languages are essential part of any web sites like bootstrap for mobile compatibility, angularjs for validation and so on. also you need to update you template as per requirement mean you need to add scripting languages like bootstrap or angularjs if it is not there.

Operational level web site are mostly implemented in C# and java. mostly C# is best choice for report level operational website

Analysis and mining level web site implemented in R and python programming languages because for in-build support

Decorative (Not Analysis)web site build using PHP

Hence you can select your choice as per above details

Answer 3) If Your site is large but simple then you can go for normal hosting but for complex system you can go for cloud.

todays all kind for web site deployed over cloud only because of services provided by them. also high availability, high performance, security and backup are key parameter for cloud.only matter cost because cloud cost is higher than normal hosting.
