Ans- Trade Unions plays an important role in the organization. The Trade Unions helps in doing the negotiation in salary, selecting their work hours and other benefits. The Employees and Employers got the advantage from these Trade Unions. It's because the Trade Unions ask for raise in wages, improving the working conditions which overall elevate the productivity of firm. If We talk about some years ago, the workers get very low wages with not any benefits, work for long hours. Along with that, the long hour work doesn't account for overtime which resulted in dissatisfaction to their work. At that time, a single Worker can't raise their voice against all these exploitation or not even now. So, Trade Union give the voice to the workers problems. They help in getting the fair wages of the workers and the good treatment to them.
Today Employer knows all the Labour Rights and they try to motivate the workers from time to time by increasing in wages or give the bonus which overall benefits them by improving results.
But in so many Industries yet, they don't get good wages or not access to their rights which leads to their exploitation. In those cases, Trade Unions is very much required. The Employer felt relieved to talk to the Trade Unions because this helps them from the workers lock out strikes, Overtime Bans etc. Trade Unions comprises of the Workers Association Members who are selected to fight for their rights with the Company. Even So many strong rules for workers has been introduced now which Employers avoid to disobey them. Even there are so many Govt. Enforcement Agencies who works to ensure whether these laws are properly implemented or not.
The Trade Unions helps to give workers a powerful voice to talk to the Top Level Management for their problems and dissatisfaction towards their work. Trade Unions helps in better negotiation of the wages. It aids the workers to get maternity leave, career leave. It assist in staying the workers job for the longer time. It gives assurance of security to the workers that there is someone with them who will help them in getting their rights. It also helps in developing the equal opportunities in the organizations.
