Answer #1

Homeless people are the people who do not have a permanent place to reside. These people do not have the income to secure a safe and everlasting place to stay.  Homelessness is prevalent not only in the backward countries but also, in the developed countries. Poverty and lack of employment opportunities are the main reason for a person to be rendered homeless.  Gentrification means the deliberate attempt to modify and renovate the decaying or worsening urban neighborhoods by making available new expensive households, infrastructure and businesses. The intention of gentrification is to weed out the low-income group people and forcing them to relocate them to other poor neighborhoods. Gentrification means an increase in activities which lead to economic growth of that particular neighborhood,in the form of new employment opportunities and cleaner streets, better schools, parks and sanitation. As a result, the initial inhabitants of that area usually cannot afford the new hiked rent and high-priced products and services and are forced to seek habitat somewhere else.

Robert Nozick was an American philosopher, who advocated individualism. Nozick propagated that a justifiable state is a minimum state, which upholds the rights of its individuals. He rejected the theory of distributive justice. He opined that what is not owned by anybody can be private property. He asserted that the people have right over the things they have or produced by them. He believed that nobody had the right over the holdings of another people, even if it is done to provide equal opportunities for all. He denounced the system, which confiscated the rightfully owned holdings of some people and distributed it to other, just for the sake for ensuring equal distribution for all.  Gentrifying unleashes different reactions from different people. The upheaval caused by gentrification creates a general discontent in the society. Even though, the original inhabitants get some employment opportunities and benefits in the form of upgradation of the local infrastructure, they also face displacement. This leads to the rise of resentment and they start to detest the upper-class people, who have seized their property.
