Negative reinforcement- This is the way by which something bad or unpleasant thing is taken away when someone perform a good deed or habit to get rid of that bad situation.This method to could help us to learn certain behavior that are necessary for our day to day lives. This is like something that we dont like and we respond against it by not repeating it again. Instead we try to do the opposite and change our actions into something different. It strengthens a behavior that avoids or removes a negative outcome. For eg - if a person is smelling bad and he/she doesn't feel good about it, then he/she should take a shower so that the bad smell is gone. This type of method helps us to adapt to certain kind of good behavior.
Punishment - This is the act that is done to a person who has done something horrible, wrong and out of law. People doing criminal acts have to face punishments of different levels depending upon the crime they had performed. This is the way to stop the person who is being involved in activities that are not acceptable , neither by law or humanity.
