According to Comparably, a company that gives real company ratings from employees, Marriott has a rating of 55% being satisfied with the work-life balance, while there are 52% of the employees who feel burnt out by their work at Marriott. When the employees are asked about the number of hours that they work, 29% said 10 hours, 5% said 12 hours and 5% said more than 12 hours. They work for long hours and get few hours off from their work. The techniques that can be used by Marriott International for providing better work life balance are that employees are encouraged to be efficient by making efforts at work place with productivity and giving time to their family. They can be encouraged to involve themselves with community work so that they have satisfaction with their contribution and role. The employees if offered compensation that is commensurate with their work, it can help them achieve their work life balance by spending optimum time at work and with their families.
