Answer #1

Ans: ps1 means uses light energy to convert NADP+ to NADPH2.it involve the p700, chlorophyll pigments.

Ps2 means absorb the light energy involvibg p680 and transfer electrons from water to plastoquinone .

1. Both are protein mediated complexand aim is to produce energy which is used in Calvin cycle.ps1 involves NADP+ to NADPH2 . while ps2 absorb light energy .

2.ps1 located on outer surface of thylakoid membrane and bind to reaction center p700 while ps 2 located in inner surface of thylakoid membrane and reaction center is p680.

3.pigments in ps1 absorb longer wavelength of light which is 700nm on other hand pigments in ps2 absorb shorter wavelength of light which is 680nm.

4.photophosphorylation in ps1is involved in both cyclic as well as in non cyclic photophosphorylation, and ps2 in both cyclic photophosphorylation.

5.No photolysis occurin ps1 though it happens in ps2.

6. Primary function of ps 1 in NADPH synthesis, where it received electrons from ps2 and ps 2 is in the hydrolysis of water and atp synthesis.

What is not an important use that plants have, for the nutrient phosphorus? O Phosphorus is an important part of some proteins When plants do cellular respiration, they create energy-rich molecules that contain phosphorus Plants need phosphorus any time that their cells are dividing, because phophorus is part of DNA Plant cells need phosphorus to make ribosomes, because ribosomes include much RNA Cell membranes include molecules with nonpolar tails and polar heads, and phosphorus is in the polar heads

Some plants have mechanisms that promote the dispersal of seeds, and some have mechanisms that minimize dispersal. Name some of the mechanisms associated with each (maximized vs. minimized dispersal). Under what circumstances would you expect selection to favor increasing dispersal, and when would it favor minimizing it?
