Briefly explain in words why relativity states that more force is required to accelerate a particle from 0.4c to 0.8c than from 0 to 0.4c. Why this contradicts the Newtonian physics ?

In relativity moving mass increases as compared to rest mass hence when speed closes to speed of light force required to accelerate with same acceleration also increases as mass increases. Where as in Newtonian physics mass is always constant. It doesn't depend on increasing velocity. Hence force is also constant for same acceleration.
