The big five personality tests comprise of five broadly defined personality trait. Those are:

  1. Openness: Person having this personality trait are very creative and open to new activities and adventure. They have broad areas of interest. A person having a high level of openness loves to explore new areas and adventures. They like facing new challenges and think creatively and abstract to get out of it. Person low in openness hates changes. They are not very imaginative and creative.
  2. Conscientiousness: Persons having this personality trait are goal-oriented, thoughtful and organized. They prefer things in proper order. A person having a high level of conscientiousness is very organized, impulse-driven, well-prepared, and pays attention to details. A person having a low level of this personality trait is not well organized and they dislike routine. Procrastination is one of the most important aspects of them.
  3. Extroversion: Persons having this personality trait is outgoing and talkative. They make friends very easily, thus they have a high number of social contacts. They love going out and mixing with people. They feel energetic around the people. Person low in extroversion hates going out and prefers solitude. They are awkward with people and have a few friends.
  4. Agreeableness: Altruism is the main essence of this personality trait. A person having a high level of agreeableness is more cooperative and helpful. They are kind and sensitive toward others. They incorporate different ideas and help people in need. While people low in agreeableness is very competitive and selfish. They insult and belittle others and generally have trust issues.
  5. Neuroticism: Emotions and mood are the main characteristics of neuroticism. A person high in this trait will face a high level of stress and will be generally sad and irritated. He/she are more likely to face mood-related issues and will be anxious. While a person low in neuroticism will be happy and cheerful. She/he deals very well with the stress and enjoys his/her life.
