Assume you have a group account called “sales”. Also assume you have a directory called “products”. Change group ownership, including all subfiles and subdirectories of the products directory to the sales group.
NOTE: Type your answer exactly as you would at a command line: Do not add extra spaces, no quotations, no $ symbols, etc.
HINT: You may need root permissions

Answer: sudo chmod -R g+rwx products OR sudo chmod -R 770
- sudo is for giving root permisisons
- chmod is used for setting the permissions
- -R is used to recursively give permission to the subfolders and files inside the folders.
- g stands for group
- rwx stands for read, write and execute permissions
- + is for adding permissions
- 7 stands for read write and execute. (1 = execute 2 = write 3 = write and execute 4 = read 5 = read and execute 6 = read and write 7 = read write and execute.
- First 7 is for the owner second 7 is for the group and third digit ,i.e., 0 is for others.
