Answer #1

Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment is the first and foremost responsibility of an organization. Enforcing safety guidelines and exposure control in order to mitigate occupational hazards and to ensure workers' safety and health is not just a legal requirement for organizations but also a moral responsibility. Occupational hazards may include physical hazards like workplace violence, biological hazards like communicable diseases, psychological issues of works like mental stress and poor work-life balance, ergonomics issues as well as accidents. Hence, the goal of the organization should always be to develop standards and procedures to safeguards its workforce from such hazards. Periodic risk assessments should also be carried out to examine and identify risk possibilities and exposures.
