You take 3 cells from the same organism and you measure the number of different proteins they have. Explain the results (why is there a difference).

Cell type A – 74000.

Cell type A – 98000.

Cell type B – 56000.

In an organism every cell has the same DNA, but different cell express different gene at a particular time according to the need of that cell. The set of protein produced from the gene make it unique from each other in terms of property. How is this possible .? Of course gene regulation makes cell produce varied amount of protein at a particular time. For example liver cell have different set of genes that other cells don't have. The job of liver cell is to remove toxic substances.so it express the gene that is involved in producing enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase that helps to remove toxin from the body.
