Develop a theory on why the disparity between rural voters and urban voters has grown, including whether there are similarities with respect to issues that motivate both voting blocks to be politically active.

There are lots of disparity between rural voters and urban voters. Such disparity also reflects in the vote box:

• The primarily difference lies in the issues and the issues differ according to the place. In the rural sides, the voters demand the facilities in the agricultural fields. But in the urban areas the demand is on the development and prosperity of the industry.
• Rural voters are educationally backward. They do not have sufficient awareness. On the other hand, urban people are comparatively more educated and they have much awareness.
• In the rural areas the voters can be easily tempted with money or some communal issues. But such temptations do not work much in the urban areas.
• National and global issues greatly influence the urban people. But few people in the rural sides are aware of the global and national issues. They are more concerned about the regional issues.
• In the rural areas the voters can be influenced by the community leaders or religious leaders. But in the urban areas such matters rarely happen.
• Media campaign have little effect in the rural areas whereas in the urban areas community leaders have great effect.

In some cases there may be similarities between rural voters and urban voters. Religious and communal issues are the major factors that affect both the rural voters and urban voters. The nature of the politicians, their public communication, corruption, injustice, local development influence equally both the urban voters and rural voters.
