PLEASE ONLY ANSWER QUESTION 2 - Question 1 is included for background information required to answer question 2. I am unsure of how to calculate genotype and phenotype frequencies and want to learn how to do it.
A recent study has determined that there is a significant genetic basis for over-dramatic personalities in humans. When a genotyping test was released for this locus, all the Kardashian sisters decided to take it to figure out if they could blame biology for their infamous dramatic tendencies. Dramaticness (DD) is dominant to calmness (dd).
2. Kim Kardashian is married to Kanye West, and the two have three children together. Kim and Kanye are both heterozygous for the dramatic trait. However, Kim is extraverted (EE) while Kanye is introverted (ee) and so demonstrate their drama in different ways. A heterozygous individual for the extraversion trait would be an ambivert--someone perfectly in between the two personality types. Complete the Punnett square for this cross and calculate the possible genotypes and phenotypes for their children along with the frequencies for each.
Dramatics (DD) is dominant to calmness (dd) and extraverted (EE) is partially dominant to introverted (ee). The heterozygous individual (Ee) would be an ambivert.
Kim and Kanye are both heterozygous for the dramatic trait. However, Kim is an extravert (EE) while Kanye is an introvert (ee).
So, the genotype of Kim is DdEE and genotype of Kanye is Ddee

From the Punnett Square,
No. of expected offspring with DDEe is 1
No. of expected offspring with DdEe is 2
No. of expected offspring with ddEe is 1
Total no. of offspring is (1+2+1=4)
Frequency of DDEe is ¼ = 0.25 or 25%
Frequency of DdEe is 2/4 = 0.50 or 50%
Frequency of ddEe is ¼ = 0.25 or 25%
From the Punnett Square,
No. of Dramatic, ambivert offspring is 3
No. of Calm, ambivert offspring is 1
Total no. of offspring is (3+1=4)
The frequency of Dramatic, ambivert is ¾ = 0.75 or 75%
The frequency of Calm, ambivert is ¼ = 0.25 or 25%
Kindly revert for any queries and concerns.

Evaluating your phenotypes and genotypes and testing a genetic hypothesis in corn There are two activities in this write up. In the first, you will evaluate your phenotypes and genotypes and relate them to parental phenotypes and genotypes. In the second, you will test a hypothesis using a monohybrid cross in corn and carry out a Chi-squared analysis. For the write up, please copy and paste the remaining part of the Lab document into a new document, then fill in...
Human Mendelian Traits Mendelian Traits are those traits which follow Mendel's rules of only 2 possible versions of a gene(1 dominant, 1 recessive). There are only a few examples of this in humans. 1. Circle the heterozygous dominant genotypes: AA Aa aa YyYY W Re RR 2. Circle the homozygous recessive genotypes: AA Aa aa YyYY V ir Rr RR 3. Use the chart below to determine your phenotype (observable characteristic) and possible genotype(s) (a pair or pairs of alleles)....

If the offspring of a cross are 50 purple-flowered plants and 14 white-flowered plants, what are the genotypes of...
Analyzing Genetic Data A. ABO Blood Group The human ABO blood group is an example of how three alleles that control a trait may interact. In this case, two of the alleles are codominant and one is recessive to the other two. The table below lists the phenotypic and genotypic data for this trait. Blood Type Phenotype Type A Type B Type AB | Type 0 Possible Genotype Ilori Pori | IAI 1. List the three alleles that control expression...

The gametophyte of a fomu (a) haploid. (b) photoautotrophic. (c) a structure that produces eggs and/or sperm (d) all of the above 8. A chi-square test is used to (a) determine if experimental data adequately matches what was expected. (b) analyze a Punnett square. (c) determine parental genotypes producing a...
1. Draw a Punnett square to indicate possible gamete types produced by each parent and the expected genotypes of their offspring for the cross: AaBb X aaBb. See figure 11.8. . 2. Continuing on with the example in question 1, predict the phenotype corresponding to each offspring genotype if: Gene A is governed by complete dominance and gene B by incomplete dominance. Possible phenotypes for gene A are tall (dominant phenotype) and short (recessive phenotype), and for gene, B is...

HUMAN GENETICS It to study because of the relatively long life span and the limited number In addition, the number of chromosome pairs (23) increases the possible number of genetic combinations. Punnett Square Genotypic ratio: Phenotypic ratio: 5. Purple flowers (P) are completely dominant over white flowers (p). If a pea plant is heterozygous for purple flowers, can any of this plant's offspring have all purple flowers? Think about the different genotypes with which you can cross the hetero- zygous parent: homozygous dominant, heterozygous, and homozygous recessive. Use three Punnett squares to show your work for each possible phenotype. Heterozygous purple pea...
