Answer #1

Framing an issue is the process by which an issue is presented and explained to the audience based upon a context in an organized manner so as to gain support from the audience. The way this is framed is based upon the beliefs and attitudes of the audience. For example, an issue that can benefit from public participation would be to eliminate the social stigma assosciated with mental disorders. In this case, the issue must be framed based upon the ideology of the audience or the public and provide oppurtunities to voice their concerns . Discussions regarding the necessary solutions and alternatives can be made in response to the situation, and it is essential to present the issue with positive or negative semantics appropriately to ensure clarity, which affects how the audience would react.
