To wite in scientific notation it means writing a large number into a small number

converting it into scientific notation. 135/10^-3

it can be written as 135 x 10³ / 10^-3 x 10³

In fractions, if we divide or multiply the denominator and numerator with the same number if doesn't affect its value. they are known as multiples of that fraction

So 135 x 10³ / 10^-3 x 10³ = 135 x 10³ ( since 10^-3 x 10³ =1)

and 135 x 10³ = 135.0 x 10³

now during conversion, we move the decimal to the left so that value left before decimal is between 1-10

and the number of places the decimal has moved will be added as an exponent

so 135.0 x 10³ = 1.35 x 10⁵ (10³⁺²)
